Homeless mother, five months sober and working, saving for a home for her two children

FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A mother of two lost her family's home on April 9, 2026, at a time when she was struggling with depression and alcohol abuse. Today, thank God, she is five months sober. Since then, she has found stable work as a certified home health aide and is doing her best to save for permanent housing for herself and her children, a 21-year-old daughter and a 17-year-old son. Until then, the family is staying from place to place, never knowing where they will sleep for the night or even the week, and a nearby church receives their mail. These past months have been harder than anyone can imagine. Help this Christmas would mean the world to her and to her children, and would give them hope that trouble does not last always. She says that if her family is not chosen, she prays another family in great need receives help.
