FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A single mother in Atlantic City is raising two daughters, one turning 3 on December 30 and a baby who turns 6 months old on November 15. Early this year, when she was five months pregnant, the girls' father suddenly left their lives. Her oldest still holds her dad's picture and asks where he is, and this mother has worked hard to make sure her girls know they are loved and important. She is carrying the household and its debt on her own and calls herself a mom who makes it happen from nothing. Being chosen would let her breathe for a moment and simply enjoy her daughters' faces on Christmas morning.
