← Back to all Adopt-A-Family listings
FAMILY BACKGROUND:
A family in Newark is raising two daughters, ages 11 and 16. One daughter was born with retinoblastoma, a cancer of the eye, and had her left eye removed in 2018. She has been cancer free since 2020, but the cancer left her with a learning disability and other health problems. Her mother stays home to care for her, and the family is constantly trying to keep their heads above water as prices rise. Her mother is praying for a Christmas miracle for her girls.
